At Basso, we're light years ahead in the road race bicycle industry. Behind every Basso bike lays world-class technological research and innovative design. Meticulous care goes into the construction of every frame together with the best materials and components.

New for 2010 is the Basso carbon monocoque concept frame: a combination of many years' racing experience and thorough research into the needs of the modern cyclist. These are extraordinary machines, built to win using carbon, a material that's extremely resistatnt yet suprisingly light.

Italian design is famous the world-over - and Basso's passion for excellence is reflected in the quality of the final product. Each frame takes three hours to paint. No less than six layers of paint are used, each applied by hand, with a special anti-UV and scratch resistant outer layer.

State-of-the-art CAD software is used to design the frames themselves, this enables us to carefully monitor structural loads and reation to stress. Finally, every frame undergoes seven stringent quality control tests, destructive and non-destructive, and also for resistance to fatigue to ensure stability and optimum performance.
